Money isn’t everything, but we all deserve to be spoilt once in a while.

With that in mind, we’ve put together this list of some of the priciest homes in our collection, ranked from least to most expensive.

15. The Sanctorium, Lisbon

You’ve seen marble floors, you’ve seen marble countertops, but have you ever seen a marble feature wall?

From £816 per night

14. Hispaniola, Milan

This pool is a work of art in itself – you don’t even have to get your feet wet to enjoy it.

From £817 per night

Unless you’re an exhibitionist, Gold Standard might feel a bit exposed with all those windows. We say throw caution to the wind.

From £1158 per night

11. Opulent Ruby, Barcelona

Any home with its own bar gets a tick in our books.

From £2027 per night

Dubai Expo 2020 Preview A guide to the massive event that could alter the landscape of the city’s real estate market

Expo 2020 will do much more than bring millions of people to Dubai for more than six months starting next October.

The event will vault the Middle East city to the front of the world stage while simultaneously giving a jolt to its real estate market.

In fact, the boost is already underway.

In this special Mansion Global report, we’ll take a look at how the event is poised to reinvigorate the market; look at the new developments launching sales; delve into top neighborhoods for people moving to Dubai; and take a tour of the city’s unique architecture.

Additionally, notable residents will give an inside scoop on Dubai’s culture and their favorite aspects of the city.

Dubai Looks to Expo 2020 to Reinvigorate Its Property Market

Catalyst. Turning point. Boom. These are the hopeful words stakeholders in Dubai’s housing market have used to describe the effect of Expo 2020, a world’s fair launching one year from this month.

The Lamborghini 2020 Huracan Evo Spyder

Lamborghinis seem to bring people together, particularly pearl green, sleek ragtops like the 2020 Huracan Evo Spyder. With the cabin exposed to the sky, it dares onlookers to engage. “Talk to me,” the Spyder purrs—and people do.

Here’s what happened when Penta took out the Evo Spyder for a spin: pedestrians, other drivers, all and sundry felt an urgent need to make friends. Folks ask to swap cars, honk, or whoop. Children wave and smile, instinctively recognizing a thing of beauty. On the Major Deegan Expressway, in New York state, of all places, they graciously let you merge into heavy traffic.

The 2020 Huracan Evo Spyder is an expensive ride, to be sure—$287,000 base price ($365,000 as tested, thanks to 20-inch forged Narvi rims; a “pearl effect” paint job, and carbon skin, among many other bells and whistles). That’s comparable to prices of rival super sports cars in the same power range. For those able to afford it, and who prize a thrilling racing experience off the track, the Evo Spyder packs a lot of punch in a relatively small package. With the top down, the ride lives up to Lambo’s marketing: “open air exhilaration.”

Like its cousin, the Huracan Performante, this two-seater is powered by a 5.2- liter, 640-horsepower, V10 naturally aspirated engine with a bold timbre. Expect to be heard before you’re seen. The Evo sports a seven-speed dual clutch-automatic transmission, which can be toggled at will.

Modern Houseboat on the River Thames Lists for £1.75 Million

The home has access to amenities in a neighboring luxury development

A modern houseboat moored on the River Thames that comes with a suite of hotel-like amenities has hit the market asking £1.75 million (US$2.25 million).

The floating three-bedroom residence, which was listed earlier this month, is docked off a gated pier where the Thames runs through the London suburb of Wandsworth. It also has access to a range of perks housed at the neighboring Riverside Quarter development, where there’s a mail room, pool, on-call concierge, steam and sauna rooms and several gyms, said Guy Bradshaw, head of London residential at United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty, which is listing the home.

The houseboat features the kinds of lavish finishes associated with a new home in prime London. Light, warm materials make the interiors feel spacious, including heated limestone floors, oak-paneled walls and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water.

An eat-in kitchen spans half the lower level and opens onto a terrace for easy al-fresco dining.

Billionaire set to buy America’s most expensive mansion

Hedge funder Steven Schonfeld is about to close on a deal that will hand him the keys to the most expensive mansion in U.S. history, according to a report.

The oceanfront property in Palm Beach, Fla., a half-mile south of President Donald Trump’s private club, Mar-a-Lago, will reportedly set the billionaire back just under a little less than $200 million in the off-market deal, the New York Post reported.

The South Ocean Boulevard home has 10 bedrooms, 16.5 baths, a pool and a tennis court. The estate spans roughly 34,775 square feet, according to Zillow, which lists the home as off the market.

Schonfeld would be privy to the 350 feet of oceanfront and around 230 feet of frontage along the Intracoastal Waterway.

The home is owned by beauty mogul Sydell Miller who cofounded Matrix Essentials Inc., a hair and beauty line, the Post reported.

Tour Lionel Richie’s House in Beverly Hills

I feel about my home the way I feel about my music: You have to take chances,” says Lionel Richie. “When I wrote All Night Long’ as well as Three Times a Lady,’ it was dangerous, because at the time black guys were singing neither calypso songs nor waltzes. But since you only get one shot at life, let’s make it a challenge. That’s how I feel about this house.”

“If I can’t find a lyric, I walk to the end of the garden and say, ‘OK, God, they’re expecting me to be famous; I have things being delivered for the house tomorrow; I need a second verse,’” Richie says. At the rear of the 17,000-square-foot house are a series of limestone terraces, a swimming pool and a stone poolhouse. The lush grounds feature cypress and magnolia trees and ‘Iceberg’ roses.

And a challenge is exactly what the singer-songwriter got when he snapped up the 28-room mansion, built in 1929 for Carrie Guggenheim by architects Harry Koerner and William J. Gage on a knoll overlooking the Los Angeles Country Club. “It’s a house you don’t find anywhere, much less 10 minutes from the center of Beverly Hills,” he says of the Italian Renaissance Revival structure that hadn’t been updated for almost a decade.

“Everybody looked at it and had the same response: Beautiful, but we don’t want to do the work.’ And in fact I was reluctant,” he admits. It was his then wife, Diane, who said, “This is fabulous.”

And may never be, since Richie admits that creating music and homes are simultaneous pleasures. The first job for the couple, who remain “great friends,” Richie says, was simply uncovering the splendid bones under the kitsch: the gorgeous wood floors, pristine due to years buried under white carpeting; the entrance’s luminescent limestone walls, darkened—and hidden—under varnish. “A house is like a human being,” muses Richie. “There’s something wonderful about an 80-year-old with wisdom, but what did it look like when it was 19? What was the inspiration when the house was first built? That white stone was the house’s youth.

Late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s mega-yacht is for sale. Here’s how much it costs

The late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s 400-foot mega-yacht is up for sale.

The price: A cool $325.5 million.

Dubbed the “Octopus,” it’s one of the world’s largest boats, and costs a whopping four times more than what Allen paid for his NBA franchise, the Portland Trailblazers.

So what do you get for a third of a billion dollars? Two elevators. Two helipads. A pool.

Plus, you’ll get a private deck (which comes with a bar), a hot tub (in case you get tire of the pool) and an al fresco dining area for hosting dinner parties on the sea. But that’s not all.

Kanye West, Kim Kardashian Reportedly Buy Enormous Wyoming Ranch

When Kim Kardashian West was interviewed — by her husband, naturally — for the cover story in this month’s issue of Vogue Arabia, she was asked to describe where she sees herself in ten years. The L.A. native’s answer was somewhat surprising: “living on a ranch in Wyoming,” she said, “and occasionally going to Palm Springs and our home in Los Angeles.”

Location: Cody, Wyo.
Price: $14 million (list)
Size: 3,000+ acres with a private lake and multiple structures

As it turns out, the reality TV superstar-turned-entrepreneur-turned-law student wasn’t just whistlin’ Dixie. According to TMZ, the Wests have finalized the purchase of an astonishingly pristine spread, the so-called Monster Lake Ranch near the picturesque town of Cody, in northwest Wyoming less than 50 miles from the eastern edge of Yellowstone National Park.

Matthew Perry’s $35 Million Penthouse is Most Expensive in Los Angeles

Actor Matthew Perry’s lavish Los Angeles penthouse hit the market Friday—as the most expensive condominium for sale in Los Angeles.

The “Friends” star is asking $35 million for his newly renovated “mansion in the sky,” as the listing agents Greg Holcomb and Cassandra Petersen, both of Compass, put it.

The four-bedroom aerie tops a star-studded tower in Century City and certainly spans the size of a Los Angeles mansion, at nearly 9,300 square feet. The apartment includes an in-unit home theater and four expansive terraces.

Mr. Perry, 49, bought the full-floor condo in 2017 for $20 million, according to property records, and has spent the past two years giving the interiors a chic facelift, according to listing agents.

Warriors Owner Joe Lacob Scores $29 Million Malibu Mansion

Fresh off back-to-back NBA championships, professional basketball’s Golden State Warriors of San Francisco have been described by reputable news outlets as the “greatest dynasty in the modern era” and as “absurd collection of talent.” Perhaps to celebrate those supreme accolades, majority owner Joe Lacob and his wife Nicole Curran have girded their loins and charged away from their longtime Silicon Valley, Calif. residence to the seaside city of Malibu, where they’ve laid out $29.1 million for a decidedly decadent oceanfront mansion on desirable Carbon Beach.

Before becoming Warriors majority owner in 2010, Lacob was (and still is) an exceptionally successful Silicon Valley venture capitalist. For over 30 years, he has held the rank of partner at vaunted firm Kleiner Perkins, where his investments have centered primarily around firms involved in medical tech, life sciences and energy.

In a new report on luxury real estate by Coldwell Banker, these places are called “power markets,” where the “wealthiest and most powerful players” tend to own homes.

The report defines power markets in the US as places where the top 5% of single-family home sales by price is highest. In the top 17 markets, the median list price for the top 5% of sales is at least $3.5 million.

Bugatti Chiron Passes 300-MPH Barrier with 304-MPH Run, Sets World Record

Ever since the Bugatti Chiron was launched, with a 261-mph speed limiter, we’ve been desperate to know what it could manage if let off the leash. Now Bugatti has done that at the vast Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany; the car smashed both the production-car record and the 300-mph barrier.

Factory test driver Andy Wallace, who previously set production-car records in both the Jaguar XJ220 and the McLaren F1, drove a slightly modified Chiron to a time, certified by the German TÜV organization, of 304.773 mp

The Chiron used was in what is described by Bugatti as “near production” spec, modified with an additional safety cell and with aerodynamic changes and higher seventh-gear ratios, which we believe will be incorporated into a celebratory limited-edition model. It also used a slightly more powerful version of the regular Chiron’s quad-turbocharged W-16 engine, turned up to produce 1600 hp, the same total made by the recently announced Centodieci.

The record was set in conjunction with Italian constructor Dallara, which makes the Chiron’s body and developed the aerodynamic kit, and also Michelin which created the very special tires capable of dealing with such huge forces, rotating up to 4100 times a minute. The specially constructed Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires were all X-rayed before being selected for use on the car.

Inside Diane von Furstenberg’s Home in Manhattan

The architects of WORKac build designer Diane von Furstenberg an unconventional home next to the High Line—the city oasis she helped create

One of the great luxuries of life is a getaway that keeps clamor and chaos at a distance. Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg’s live/work space in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District—a glass-and-steel aerie the occupant calls her “tree house”—appears to be just that. But the isolation of the lofty perch is deceiving. Just beyond its transparent walls the city’s icons, old and new, shout for attention: to the northeast the majestic Empire State Building, and to the west the High Line, a mile-and-a-half-long park built atop abandoned elevated train tracks and of which Von Furstenberg was an early champion. And all around is an edgy, effervescent quarter exuding equal parts glamour and grit.

“Everybody told me when I came to this neighborhood that I was crazy—that it was full of drag queens, that it smelled awful because of all the butchers,” says the Brussels-born designer, who moved to New York in 1969 with her first husband, Fiat scion Prince Egon von Furstenberg. (They had two children, and divorced in 1983; in 2001 she married media mogul Barry Diller.) “All of that is true,” she continues.

A Home by a Frank Lloyd Wright Protégé Hits the Market

Home by Frank Lloyd Wright Protégé Hits the Market

A Barrington home designed by Dennis Blair, who studied at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West school and worked with Wright on the Guggenheim Museum, is for sale. The most remarkable aspect of the 1972 home is its interior, which was designed in a spiral-like configuration to accommodate a two-story ficus tree.

“Blair’s concept for this 1972 home centers on a 16-by-16-foot atrium in the middle of the structure,” Lou Zucaro, who represents the home for Baird & Warner, tells AD PRO. “Spread out over six mini-levels, the various spaces in the home wind up and around the atrium. While various plants have been swapped out over the years, the ficus tree has been growing in the ground under the house since it was built.” The asking price for the home at 3 Wood Rock Road is $770,000.

Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey Lists Sleek Hollywood Hills Home for $4.495 Million

The ultra-modern abode, designed by AND Studio, boasts epic views

Just a little over a year after Twitter founder Jack Dorsey dropped $4.225 million on an ultra-modern home in the Hollywood Hills, he has listed the house for $4.495 million. He reportedly bought the pad for his then-girlfriend Raven Lyn Corneil, who no longer lives there, and the tech billionaire spends the majority of his time at his spacious place in San Francisco.

The 3,730-square-foot house is located on a quiet hillside street just off Mulholland Drive, and comprises five bedrooms and four bathrooms spread out over two stories. Walls made of glass sliders offer plenty of views of the San Fernando Valley and the home’s ample outdoor space; one of the greatest features is a massive terrace on the upper floor that houses a stainless steel outdoor refrigerator and grill. A generous finished wooden deck has room enough for a lounge area, while a spacious lawn, infinity-edge swimming pool, and sunken spa one level below provide ample room for fun and relaxation.

Home Sweet Martha: A Look Inside All of Martha Stewart’s Homes

From New York City to the Connecticut countryside, Martha Stewart has called a number of gorgeous places home over the years. Take a look at all of her properties, both past and present.

It should come as no surprise that Martha Stewart has impeccable taste in picking a place to call home. Over the years, she’s owned more than a handful of different properties, and though each home was unique in its own right, they’re all also distinctly Martha.

Her Turkey Hill farmstead in Connecticut is what many consider Martha’s most iconic home despite the fact that she hasn’t lived there since 2007. She purchased the historic farmhouse in the early ’70s, and while renovating the home and the land that surrounded it, Martha first began to explore her passion for housewares. Since then, she’s also put down roots in New York City, the Hamptons, and Maine. Her historic vacation house in Maine, which Martha calls Skylands, which sits on Mount Desert Island, is steeped in history: Though our founder owns it now, it once belonged to the Ford family.

A-Listed: Cardi B Bought Her Mom A House

Is there a time of year when celebs aren’t, in the words of the inimitable Cardi B, making money moves? Even as we head into the supposedly slower-paced holiday season, stars are buying, selling, and in the case of one former Girls star, renting out properties in New York, California, and beyond. And speaking of Cardi, you won’t believe what she bought her mom for Christmas. Yeah, no offense, but you may wanna rethink that re-gifted candle you were planning on presenting to yours. Or, um, at least add a cute homemade card or something?

Cardi B’s Homey Holiday Gift To Mom

Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, Cardi B gave her mom something to be super thankful for this year — a multi-floor residence with a gleaming marble kitchen and an in-home gym.

We don’t know much about the provenance of the real estate, but we do know that based on this video Cardi shared to her Instagram, it’s pretty fancy. “Last year I was so thirsty to buy my mom a house but the ones I was interested for her weren’t at my price range,” the Bronx-raised rapper wrote in the caption. A frugal woman after our own hearts!

LOOK INSIDE TAYLOR SWIFT’S 8 INCREDIBLE HOMES

Taylor Swift may be best known for her impressive music career, though with eight homes across four states she may be adding “real estate mogul” to her repertoire pretty soon. The 28-year-old superstar is reported to own $84 million in real estate, with diverse pads ranging from a $20 million penthouse in Tribeca to an 11,000-square-foot historical landmark in California. See below for a closer look at the star’s properties.

1 TRIBECA PENTHOUSE

In 2014, Swift bought not one, but TWO adjacent penthouses in an old Tribeca building, converting them into one large duplex that has a total of 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, a billiards room, and an incredible sweeping staircase. The coolest part? She bought these homes from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.

2 NEIGHBORING TOWNHOUSE

Only three years after purchasing the two Tribeca penthouses, Swift expanded horizontally, purchasing the century-old townhouse right next door. The home, equipped with luxury amenities including a home theater, gym, guest suite and terrace, is estimated to be valued at $12.5 million.

Bank of Thailand cuts policy rate, to 1.5%

The Bank of Thailand’s Monetary Policy Committee has made a surprise decision today to cut the policy interest rate amid pressure to avert an economic slowdown and hedge the heightened trade war between the US and China.

The MPC cut the interest rate by only 25 basis points to 1.5 %. But the cut is significant. Of the seven-member committee, five voted for the cut while two voted to maintain the rate at 1.75%.

The Thai baht has been one of the strongest currencies in the region while the Chinese yuan has been weakening. The baht and Thai government bonds are considered by foreign investors as a safe-haven. The baht ranks 18th among the world’s strongest currencies.
